Fang looked at the ground too. It seems different than when I saw it before, she thought. "Why do you think the ground looks like this?" she asked waiting anxiously for an answer.

"It hasn't rained for a while and the sun has been beating down." Clover explained to Fang. "It is making the earth crack and dry out." She sat down and let the soil crumble underneath her. "What will happen if the rain never comes back?" she asked the leader.

"Hi my name is Midnight, i didn't no if i should have introduced myself before i didn't want to be too surprising," she said. She looked at the ground with the cracks and figured that something wasn't right. " What happened here?" Midnight said with curiosity.

Fang thought of this question Clover asked. What would happen if rain never came? "I'm not trying to scare anyone, but I think the ground would crack open and form like an abyss." she said looking at everyone's reactions carefully.

"Well thanks for scaring me Fang," Midnight said gulping at the sound of this. What would happen if this would happen, would we have any water, where would we go, what would happen, she thought. " We are gonna be able to survive right?" she said.

"We'll get through it if we stick together." Clover encouraged them. She lied down and stared longingly at the blazing sun. why us? she thought. She scratched at the hard ground and watched the dust fly into the breeze.

The brute's eyes glared amongst the newcomers. They seemed very comfortable now. Assuming now may be a time that he himself could relax, so he emotionlessly plopped himself on the ground. His nose twitched at all the new smells, but he continued to keep to himself. He wasn't a shy male, he just wasn't one to talk unless he must.

"That's the spirit Clover!!" Fang replied excitedly. She couldn't wait to get to know everyone in the pack. She betted that this pack would be better than her last one for sure.

Clover rolled her eyes at the young female. "A little less pep, okay?" she told her, getting off the ground as she spoke. Is this how I used to act? she wondered.

Breeze kept silent, she didn't find a need to speak at the moment. Instead, she observed everyone's actions. That's how she usually got to know someone. Her eyes still narrowed, she clawed the ground and perked her ears at the few voices. She seemed to be a bit cranky since she was tired. Her usual positive behavior has faded. She sighed and laid down, giving it a shot for sleep. Well, at least try to sleep..

Lacking Water

Okami's eyes darted between the pack members, and then she settled on the cracked, dry ground. If only there was water, and her quenched tongue shrieked with agreement. She flickered her lobes and looked around at her packmates. Her eyes swept over them, She noticed their concern quickly and rested her head on the ground.

"Yah we should get a little rest" Midnight agreed as she laid her head down as mostly everybody else had did. She was kinda thirsty but she could deal with it she thought. Then she fell asleep.

Clover couldn't think strait without water. Her mind was her tool. She wasn't strong or fast, but she could usually think her way out of situation. Today the female could not find a way out. She would just have to hope rain would come soon. Clover paced around in frustration, then sighed and sat back down.

"Goodnight everyone." Fang said laying on the ground. She couldnt sleep so she just pretended to. It was probably because she was still hyper of everything that happened. She tried to clear her thoughts and sleep for a little while.

Midnight was dreaming that we would never get water again. She woke up because that had startled her. We had to do something she thought. Midnight just tried to go back to sleep and not think about that anymore but there was a lot on her mind right now.

Breeze awakened, her energy fully restored. Except for the fact that thirst has been weakening her. She rose to her paws, deciding that she should be useful instead of complaining to herself. It was early morning, not even the sun was completely out. The wind was brisk and humid, and there was no heat. A perfect time to set out in search for water, or at least try. If rodents and other small mammals have been surviving, that means there must be water somewhere. Breeze glanced around, seeing that the others were not quite awake yet. She silently began to walk, but not too far from the den, reason being that she doesn't know the area very well, but this would be a good head start.

Clover was the second to wake p that morning. She noticed breeze had gotten up to search for water. Being thirsty herself, she set off in the opposite direction hoping to cover more ground.

Breeze's nostrils flared as she sniffed at the ground. The dirt beneath her was beginning to heat up, and so was the air. Exhaling faintly, she continued to walk until she recognized a Tamarisk shrub, a plant that usually grows near water. She found herself moving quickly towards it to inspect the shrub. Breeze's eyes narrowed as they scanned around, finally finding an inner dent within the ground. The ivory fae padded towards the dent, glancing at the shrub behind her once more. She has wandered off farther from the den than she expected, but she would be able to find her way back.

Fang woke up because she heard footsteps. She realized it was just Clover looking for water. She didn't have the strength to find water because she was still tired. So she went back to sleep for a while.

Clover trudged further and further from the den, only to find no traces of water. She scurried back to the den and lied down. "Anyone else awake?" she asked quietly.

Seeing what once used to be spilling with water, it was a dried up river. A snarl rumbled in her chest, in disappointment. As she was about to head back, her eye caught sight of something shiny. It was water, but very little of it. She was very tempted to drink what was left of it, but she held herself back. Instead, she glanced at the shrub which was far behind, and remembered the location of the small amount of water. Breeze rushed back to where Okami would be, fearing that another animal would drink from the remaining water, or it would evaporate from the piercing heat. At least it would be useful to someone who actually 'needed' it most.

Midnight heard footsteps and realized that the some of the others were in the search for water. She knew that she get lost somehow so she didn't take the chance. Midnight was still a little tired so she fell back asleep trying to get as much sleep as possible.

Tosi stretched his aching body and gathered himself enough to stand. His eyes wearily flickered around the scenery while his stiff snout opened into a long yawn. Tosi's ears fell side to side, listening for any sounds. Her heard a few up, but disregarded it and padded along to look for water.

Clover got up in distress. She noticed a small hair in the corner of her eye. She turned around and pounced on it. Being thirsty, she lapped up the blood. She wasn't that hungry though, so she left the carcass on the ground for someone else to eat.

Tosi decided he was tired, and carefully lied down with his cranium placed atop his paws. His eyes became weary, and Tosi finally dosed off. He hadn't a dream, all was dark in his head tonight.
