The Refreshing River

A Normally sunny place of the pack, The cool refreshing water is a nice place to rest and take a short nap, or wash off.

Prey: Fish, birds, and the rare deer.

Predators: Bears, Lone wolves, and occasionally a Coyote.

Loki kept her head low and darted through the woods at 30 MPH. She, of course, could go faster. But this was a forest. Roots could, and probably would, get in her way and she'd fall over. She turned around quickly. What was she doing? Oh yeah. Running from a bear. Darn bear. She jumped into the river and swam across. The river was cold, but honestly, she was running from a bear. Frigid water would have to wait, unfortunately. She panted by the time she was across. She'd gone at least twenty miles to escape that bear. Did she smell that bad?

As Okami came to the river, She saw a wolf running. Fast. She then saw what it was running from, A bear. She leapt out and growled at the bear, grabbing it's attention.

Loki kept sprinting until she tripped on a stump. She should be more careful. She looked behind. Where was the bear? Then she saw a wolf. The wolf had a fierce aura. It didn't appear threatening, but the air around the wolf... Well.... Is an exception. The bear and the wolf fought. She ran up, this time to the bear, and pounced up upon it. She looked at the wolf.
"Unfortunate for us to meet in a time like this, isn't it? We'll talk about adventures and bears later." Loki said.

Okami simply glanced up at the wolf and then growled at the bear, Her sharp canines gleaming at thought of sinking them into this simply grizzly. She could tell this bear was only a newly weaned one, and would be fairly easy to chase off. She snapped her jaws, her teeth licking the bears shoulder, causing crimson blood to cry.

Loki looked at the strange wolf one more time, and sank her teeth lightly into the bear's back. Not enough to kill the bear, but enough to make it flee.
"I thank you perpetually for helping me there. My name is Loki. Not of Asguard. Who're you?"

"I am Okami, The Lead Dominant Council of The Last Chill Pack." Okami simply looked at this wolf with a deep curious look, "Where are you from, Loner? This is our pack territory."

Loki feigned a look of surprise. She tried to make it obvious she did.
"Your territory? Technically, this is a forest, and therefore every inhabitant has equal claim." Loki corrected. "I suppose we shall meet again. I will look forward to that..." Loki said, before darting off, quick as lightning.

Okami snapped at the female's heels as she darted away, and the action wasn't friendly. This was her pack territory, and she wasn't going to let some mislead fae get in the way. She pivoted her head slightly, her nose working away as she tried to detect anymore predators nearby, but there was none to be seen. She remembered the wolf named Izzy she had met not to long ago, and wondered where she went.

As her thoughts took a hold, she felt heat pushing against her fur and moved slightly with discomfort. The heat was horrific, and she turned and padded slightly into the river, not liking the clear lapping water, but waded farther in to escape the clenching heat. The water was refreshing, but soaked her hair.

Coming from the unknown, Breeze was drawn here because of her thirst. She had been traveling for days with little water to drink out of, but she wouldn't miss this chance. Her eyes were an intense shade of blue as she felt the dirt beneath her paws becoming humid. She was getting closer, but she also noticed a scent too.

Okami heard something behind her. She glanced around and saw a female with an ivory pelt padding up. She turned and faced them, and slowly spoke as she padded up. "Who are you?"

"Who are you?" said the voice of a fae. Swiftly, Breeze's head whipped around. "I am....Breeze." She said with a surprised expression. She smiled slightly afterwards, attempting to make herself look friendly enough. Glancing quickly at the stream, Breeze felt a sickening feeling. There was not enough water, it was basically mud.

"Welcome, This is my pack territory. We are small, But you are welcome to join us." Okami nodded, and then acknowledged the river with a murky feeling. "There's a drought coming, We haven't had water in days." She then turned to the vixen, and twitched her ears slightly. This wolf seemed like a fair enough one, but she would need to know her better before trusting her.

The brute gently sat, his massive body crunched the leaves below him. He noticed a few scents, those of stranger wolves. He attempted to get closer without detection, but his thoughts took over. He was then pondering about his youth, and his mistakes he has made throughout life. When he remembered what we was doing, he found himself before two females.

Okami turned, and saw a brute appear nearby. She acknowledged him with a little bit of a nod of her head, her friendliness coming off her in waves. [i]"Hello, she spoke softly, "What is your name then?"

Tosi glanced at this female. What she trustworthy enough to know his name? "I'm..." the large male paused and considered what to say, "I'm Tosi." He exhaled after giving away this. He knew only telling his name wouldn't give much personal information about himself. He read the lands with his eyes, not missing any detail.

Okami spoke, "Hello, Tosi. I'm Okami." Okami acknowledged him slightly. "Welcome." She turned her head towards the cracked river where it was dry and crusty. The water was murky and muddy from the drought.

"If you will, Follow me and I will show you where the Wiazalo Den is located." Okami flickered her lobes, her aureate gaze fixed on the male. She then rested her orbs on Breeze, "You may come as well, if you wish. It does no good to gaze at the lost water." She turned, and began to pad towards the den not bothering to glance and see if her companions would follow.

Breeze chuffed lightly and then nodded her head gently. She took a glimpse at the male as he approached, but then Breeze found herself gazing at the mushy stream. Her ears shot up as she heard that she has been spoken to. "Alright... thank you." she said with a sigh. She began to catch up behind her, and scanned the area with her brisk blue eyes as she followed.

Tosi glanced at Breeze, but brought his attention back to Okami. He followed each step she took, knowing the steps would lead to the den. His pelt waved through the wind and slightly slowed him. But a male of his sized could overpower wind easily. He looked ahead, and watched the lands move by.
